Not Good at Blogging Yet

March 24, 2010

I have been busy this week preparing for services, but I am back trying to blog this morning.

I have Palm Sunday Service to get together before Nancy hurts me.  I have to get the Holy Week Services together before Friday.  I pray that this is a great Easter Season for our church.

I have been praying thanksgiving for new life and also been praying for God to continue to heal those in our congregation that have had surgeries and sicknesses.  I also have been praising God for my life and health.  I am about to hit 30 years of age.  This is a day I thought would never come, but alas time marches on.  I look back on my life and think of how little I have done.  I pray the next 30 will be much different.  Not be distracted by so many things.

March 19, 2010

What's going on with Margaret Hank Church?  This is a blog to let you know.

Prayer Request:

Anna from Bethel.  I dont know all the details.  Anna who was a member of Bethel's Gospel Quartet that recently won the competetion at the NQC passed away last night.  She was young.  It seems like the same thing that happened to my brother.  Friends, if you're sick, go to the doctor.

Erica.  Has been pregneant and the baby is already 3 weeks late.  Trying to induce labor but have not been succesful.  Nevermind...  Just had baby. Pray for mom and new life

Everyone in our congregation recovering from surgeries.  We have plenty.  Brenda, Clara, Elizabeth.

Shut-ins.

Another good way to start the day is with this web link: http://www.searchgodsword.org/his/tich/

Which informs us of all the good things about church history.  Today in Church History:

1563The Edict of Amboise granted a limited amount of freedom to French Protestants, thereby ending the First Huguenot War.

1641A General Court ended which declared the Colony of Rhode Island a democracy. The Court also adopted a constitution granting religious freedom to all its citizens.
